DaybreakbannerHave you seen the exciting news over at Simon Says Stamp? Today they announced the release of their new Daybreak collection. It includes seven new colors of ink and cardstock as well as some new sequins.SSS~Daybreak CollectionI thought I’d share a couple of cards to showcase a few of the new colors in all their deliciousness. This first card shows five of the new cardstock colors. Aren’t they gorgeous? The sentiment is from the new Mother’s stamp set.
SSS~Daybreak CollectionThis next card features a few of the new inks.
SSS~Daybreak CollectionI used the Wide Stripes Background stamp, the Tiny Tag die and added a few popped up hearts in coordinating colors.

PTI~Release in Review

Hello there! Today is Release in Review day with Papertrey Ink, and I get to share the rest of my projects with you from the new April release.PTI~Phrase Play #3This first card is using the new Phrase Play #3 stamp set with coordinating dies. I used my watercolors to paint the background and simply popped up the Phrase Play #3 die over top with the sentiment stamped in the window. The raspberry fizz heart button fit nicely in the opening at the top with a scrap of yellow ribbon.
PTI~Phrase Play #3Up next is the Modern Cross Quilt designed by Lexi Daly.
PTI~Modern Cross QuiltI layered several die cut panels together to give it some thickness, and stamped the designs in the openings. I really love this fun quilt design. The sentiment is from the new Botanical Blocks stamps set.
PTI~Modern Cross QuiltSpeaking of Botanical Blocks set, here she is in all her glory. This beautiful set was designed by Nichole, and this just proves what an amazing designer she is. I ran a piece of Terracotta Tile cardstock through the Diagonals Impression plate and then simply stamped the sunflower and colored it with Copics. The light isn’t picking up the diagonal impression very well, but it did turn out nicely in person.
PTI~Botanical BlocksNext up is the fun TeePee Time stamp set designed by Melissa Bickford. I used some of the single chevron images to create a pattern and then stitched some floss through the center.
PTI~Teepee TimeAre you still with me? Half way through, gang. Up next is the Monthly Moments: March Collection designed by Heather Nichols. I did a little masking for the umbrellas and the rest is history.
PTI~Monthly Moments: March CollectionAnd here’s the Simply Framed stamp set and coordinating dies designed by Nichole. I used the new Wet Paint 2 stamp set for the sentiment, and I also added a few flowers from the Button Stacks 2 dies.
PTI~Simply FramedAnd here’s one more projects featuring the A-Mazing stamp set. I used a bit of Amy Tangerine pattern paper here.
PTI~The A-Mazing Stamp SetAnd lastly, the Football Frenzy & additions stamp set and coordinating dies designed by Lizzie Jones. I love this set so much because we are a sports-crazy household and this set will get a ton of use. I love that you can adapt it for so many other sports.

Desktop Design

Hello there! Today I’m back for the second group post forPapertrey Ink.
PTI~Desktop DesignToday we are featuring the new Desktop Design stamp set with coordinating dies designed by Nichole Heady. I am head over heels in love with the fun images in this set and the mixture of fonts.
PTI~Desktop DesignFor this first card, I used the coordinating dies for all of the images and popped them up with foam tape. Look at that cute paper coming out from the typewriter….it just absolutely slays me, and the ability to add black scissors and orange pencils…perfection. Every detail has been perfectly thought out.
PTI~Desktop DesignMy next tag is a bit simpler, but equally as cute.
PTI~Desktop DesignI used the border image in the set to stamp the background.
PTI~Desktop DesignAnd I one last project, because I wanted to see how this set would work on the pillow box die.
PTI~Desktop DesignIsn’t the desk cute cropped off to the side? My younger daughter’s teacher once asked if any of the parents wanted to donate some bags of mints. I guess there’s nothing worse than trying to teach a kid with dragon breath, right? LOL! And I’m sure there’s nothing worse than a teacher leaning over you with the breath of ten brown bears, either. (That phrase came from my hubby…I’m thinking that it stems from hockey players in the locker room after a game…can you imagine the breath? Heaven help us.)

Introducing Simple Stars

Hello there! Today is the first group post with Papertrey Ink. For the first group post we are featuring the new Simple Stars stamp set and coordinating Cover Plate die.PTI~Simple StarsThe nice things about the new Simple Stars stamp set is that it can work easily for both masculine and feminine cards. This first card is a bit more masculine. My brother is very patriotic and would love something like this. I die cut three panels of blue cardstock with the Stars Cover Plate and layered them for thickness. I also adhere a some red, gold and lighter blue stars in a few of the openings and embossed the sentiment in white.
PTI~Simple StarsThis next card is a litte more feminine .
PTI~Simple StarsFirst I ran a piece of white cardstock through the Star Cover Plate die and then stamped them in various colors and patterns from the Simple Stars stamp set. I stitched the stars to the card front to create a fun banner look.
PTI~Simple StarsI just know that the rest of the design team probably came up with some amazing ideas using this new stamp set and die. Check them out and drool away:)

PTI~The A-Mazing Stamp Set + dies

Today I’m joining Papertrey Ink as we highlight some of the new April releases. I’m featuring the new A-Mazing Stamp set and coordinating dies designed by Erin Lincoln.PTI~The Amazing Stamp Set + diesThis is such a unique set. For my first card, I kept it one-layer and stamped several mazes. This would be a fun graduation card.
PTI~The Amazing Stamp Set + diesFor my next card, I embossed the maze in white and the trail in Hawaiian Shores.
PTI~The Amazing Stamp Set + diesThis could make a unique Valentine’s or Anniversary card.
PTI~The Amazing Stamp Set + diesAnd for my last card, I went a little bonkers and used the coordinating dies to create a shaker maze.
PTI~The Amazing Stamp Set + diesI layered several die cut mazes to get some thickness and then adhered clear cardstock over the top to hold in the little sprinkles. Why, yes, I did use my cupcake sprinkles in the shaker maze, lol! I needed something really tiny and it’s what I had on hand. They look kinda cute in there, don’t they? This is a totally fun birthday shaker maze card…sure to make anyone squeal.

Virginia’s View Challenge #2

V.V. Challenge #2Hi there! Today I have the pleasure of joining my sweet friend, Virginia and her second challenge. This month’s theme will most likely be as popular as  last month’s watercolor theme. Stencils are all the rage right now and I had a couple of ideas that I wanted to try so here goes.
Virginia's View Challenge #2The first card uses the new Mom stencil by Simon Says Stamp and some masking and ink blending.
Virginia's View Challenge #2This second card features a fun technique that I’ve been wanting to try ever since I saw it on Donna’s amazing blog. Here’s a little video to show you how I made these cards.

Be sure and head over to Virginia’s challenge blog to see some of the fabulous entries so far. I hope you feel inspired to get out your stencils and play along! Thanks so much, Virginia, for having me and thanks for stopping by!
