Welcome to my stop on the Operation Write Home Red Friday Bloghop! If you’ve gotten here without starting at the beginning, you’ll want to click HERE
and start from the top. We’re turning “Black Friday” into “Red Friday” by supporting our nation’s heroes!
Operation Write Home
is a charity that sends blank handmade cards to service members deployed overseas. They’ve sent nearly 3 million cards! That’s a lot of letters and love heading home to those who are keeping the home fires burning.
November through February are the slowest months for OWH, and that’s something we as crafters can do something about! We all have a handful of cards in our stash — we don’t even need to take a break from our holiday preparations to just write Operation Write Home on the back and send them in, right? That’ll keep our heroes busy writing home during a long winter away from home.
Be sure to read the information on the Stars and Stamps post
so you send in what’s needed (no Christmas cards, no glitter, A2, etc) – and make a hero’s day by giving them a beautiful creation to write home on!
Since we’re spreadin’ the love today, I thought I’d make a card using the Mosaic Heart stencil with a sentiment from the Sending Happy Thoughts set both by Simon Says Stamp. I mean, nothing spreads the love, in my humble opinion, more than a rainbow ombre heart.
What’s a bloghop without prizes? See the Stars and Stamps post for the full list of goodies by the bloghop sponsors – and go link up YOUR love card there, too! There are prizes for both those who comment on the blogs as well as folks who share their own creation!
Your next stop on the hop is one of my all time favorite card makers, ever….Julie Ebersole.

Hi there! Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends! Today I have the pleasure of sharing a few projects using some products from the Sweet Stamp Shop. This first card uses the cute little Dragon set. I colored the Dragon with Copics and popped him up one the card base. I used my ink blenders to add some fiery hot colors to the bottom corner. I love that cute hash-tag sentiment.
This next card uses the adorable little Guac Love stamp.
I think this cute little guacamole couple & sentiment is so cute together. Even though all of these elements are actually on one single stamp, I was able to separate them using a bit of masking so that I could place them where I wanted on the card.
Be sure to stop by the Sweet Stamp Shop blog to see more. Thanks so much for looking!
Hi there! Today I have the pleasure of joining the very sweet & talented Tracey McNeely for her 25 Tags of Christmas series.I created a shaker tag using several Paper Smooches products. I stamped the adorable snowman couple from Cool Dudes, sentiment from Christmas Sampler and added some Lawn Fawn & Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
Make sure and check out Tracy’s blog to see many, many more amazing tags. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hello there! Just poppin’ in to share a sneaky peeky of my project that’s over on the Simon Says Stamp blog today. You can head over there to see more, including a video with more special guest appearances made by my kiddos, some pathetic attempts at Christmas caroling and oh yes, stuff about the card, too, ha ha!
Hello there! Today I’m just popping in to share a little shaker tag I created using the Flowers Circles die set by Waffle Flower. The sentiment is from the Holiday Labels-Merry stamp set. I used a bit of pattern paper from the Sparkle & Shine pack by PTI and some sequins from Lawn Fawn & Pretty Pink Posh. Just to turn up the festive notch a little bit, I added some Wink of Stella to the outer flower part.
A shaker tag just never ever goes out of style, am I right or am I right?
I also have a winner to announce for my Tiny Dots stencil giveaway from the In Stitches post. Thank you so much for all your sweet comments about Charlie & Emma!
Congratulations, Laura Jane!
Hello! I’m back with Mama Elephant highlighting the new Balloon Et Cetera stamp set. This set coordinates with the the Balloon Letters set.I combined the Balloons Et Cetera with the critters from Just Hatched & a sentiment from Everyday Greetings. I also used a mask made from one of the Landscape Trio dies to blend in a soft sky using Sunshine ink. Such a fun way to celebrate a 2nd birthday. I forgot to mention that the balloon strings were stamped using the Party Kit set and Moonlight ink.
Check out the Mama Elephant blog to see more inspiration using these fun new products! Thanks so much for stopping by!
