Here’s a card I made for the kitchen sink sketch challenge.  You really should check out all of the great submissions.  Using so many of my “new” PTI buttons out of my “new” vintage button jar on one single card nearly made me pass out, but I think it was worth it in the end.  Great challenge “kitchen sink girls”!  Thanks for looking and have a great weekend:)

muchas gracias

17 11 2009

I big “muchas gracias” to Mariana who gave me this blog award!!!  I was at the hospital for a few days with my five year old daughter who had a severe asthma attack after being at a bonfire.  So this  blog award was a really pick-me-up!!  Bailey is back to her normal, bubbly, happy and loud, and hungry self.  The school nurse checks her daily to see if she has any wheezing.  Maybe it was just an isolated attack, we hope!  Anyway, you must check out Mariana’s blog.  She’s a wonderful artist and photographer, too!

When you receive this award you have to follow two easy rules:

a) I need to pass this award on to five people and  let them know on their blog I left this award for them.

Five people who I would pass this award onto are probably no surprise to any of  you.  These are just some of my favorite blogs to visit.  These artists never cease to amaze me with their originality and creativity.

So here goes:

Heather      Maile      Jessica     Angie     Susan   (you girls are the bomb diggity:)

You didn’t think that I’d actually end this post without a few pictures of the kitties did you????  They are growing so fast and keep us entertained all day long.  The kids are having too much fun doing photo shoot with them:)

So that’s all I got today, thanks for looking and thanks again to Mariana for the award!!

birthdays and babies

Needed a couple of birthday cards this week.  The first one was for a friend and the next one was for my grandpa.  I know that deep, deep, waaaaay deep down inside my grandpa really appreciated the thought (the ridiculous amount of thought) that went into this birthday card:)P1012133

And now for the more important matters.  The baby kittens are finally starting to cuddle without crying for their mommy.  The girls have held them constantly all morning with fuzzy blankets, and they’ve cuddled soooo nicely.  Mommy doesn’t even know they’re missing.  The girls are just giddy:)  Hope you have a great weekend!

french knots and baby kittens

P1012124

Don’t know where in the WORLD this week has gone!!!  Kinda in a card funk.  Not liking anything I make, ya know what I mean??  BUT, I have been working on this french knot technique that Maile showed on her blog. Even though I’m not totally in love with this card, I’m kinda diggin’ the french knots.P1012125

Here’s a little update on the kitties.  They are slowly starting to open their eyes, and they get cuter by the day.  We don’t get a whole lot of time with them because she won’t share.  The kids take a baby out.  The mommy takes the baby back under the bed, and on and on it goes.P1012129
