SSS~Color Coordinates Challenge

Hello there! Today I’ve got a card over on the Simon Says Stamp blog for their Color Coordinates challenge. I incorporated the specific challenge colors using the gorgeous Autumn Blessing stamp set and coordinating dies. For the pine cones, I used the rock n’ roll inking technique, inking the image in Khaki & then rolling it in Dark Chocolate. For the wreath and berries, I added some details with my Copic markers as well as some glossy accents.
SSS~Autumn BlessingsCheck out the Color Challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp blog for more details…there’s prizes involved if you participate…just sayin':)
Also want to mention that winners from the October Card Kit Blog Hop were listed on the Simon Says Stamp blog as well. You can check that out HERE.

SSS~Chalkboard Birthday

Hi there! Today I’m just sharing a couple of projects featuring the new collaboration stamp set with Simon Says Stamp & Hero Arts for STAMPtember®. Are you enjoying these collaboration sets as much as I am? I love how so many different companies can come together, offering totally different styles. It’s refreshing to me. I’ve always adored the chalkboard look that Hero does so well.SSS & HA~Chalkboard BirthdayFor both of my cards, I stamped the sentiment first, then trimmed off an inside angle using my xacto knife. Then I took my ink blenders and got down to business. The above card is all about ombre, and the bottom card is all about rainbow stripes.
SSS & HA~Chalkboard BirthdayFor this second card, I used my post-it tape for masking and created some overlapping stripes. After inking up the card base, I popped up the angled panel with foam tape.
SSS & HA~Chalkboard BirthdayI also have some winners to announce from several different posts….
The winner of the Butterfly Friends stamp set from my Getting to Know Me post is….Sallee P
The winner of the Copic Markers for Card Makers class giveaway is….CarrieP
The winner from the STAMPtember® release blog hop is….Michelle Leone

STAMPtember® October Card Kit blog hop

Final Oct 2014 CK Blog HopI’m super excited to be joining Simon Says Stamp for their STAMPtember® October Card Kit blog hop! If you are following the hop, then you should have arrived from the very lovely Nichol Magouirk. This month’s kit is definitely one for the coffee lover with the adorable stamp set and fun pattern papers & embellishments.
SSS~October Card KitI used the larger mug image and paper pieced it, cut the edge off and layered it on a strip of pattern paper. Before I pieced the mugs together, I blended in some ink with my ink blender. The two colors on the top are two of the new colors: Maliblue & Goldenlocks. I stamped one of the mugs with the “hello” sentiment included in the kit.
SSS~October Card KitI couldn’t resist making another card with this hilarious sentiment and cute smiley face on the mug.
SSS~October Card KitI stamped the speech bubble in black and then white embossed my sentiment over top. I blended in my favorite Maliblue ink on this mug as well and paper pieced it onto the card along with the tongue.

Release in Review

Hello, hello! Today is the final release in review post for Papertrey Ink. I have just a few more projects to share with you. My first card features the new Birthday Classics: October stamp set.PTI~Birthday Classics: OctoberI clear embossed the sentiment and blended in some ink in what I felt was an appropriate October ombre combo. I also used one of the new star dies from the Shaper Shakes: Star die collection to create a pattern for my popped up front panel. I layered it over a piece of Summer Sunrise cardstock, and then added a few of my favorite sparkling clear sequins.
PTI~Birthday Classics: OctoberMy next card features the new Santa’s Sleigh stamp set. I paired it with the new Keep It Simple: Season’s Greetings set.
PTI~Santa's SleighI adore this cute deer image. I couldn’t resist a rainbow scarf, I mean, come on! Can you see the teeny tiny dots of glossy accents on the berries? Never miss an opportunity to gloss anything, ever.
PTI~Santa's SleighAnd lastly, my final card features the new O’Tannenbaum set paired with the new Wet Paint Holiday set & dies. I also added a strip of that new Make it Market paper on the side. Love those colors for the holidays.
PTI~O'TannenbaumI added some Opal liquid pearls on the tree, and when dry, I colored over them with Copics. This is my version of what I like to call, “enamel dots for the cheapskate”. There’s never been a Wet Paint product that I don’t absolutely love. So happy that we now have a holiday set.

Introducing Book Club

Hi there! I’m joining Papertrey Ink again for another group post featuring the new Book Club stamp set.PTI~Book ClubI combined one of the beautiful quotes from the new Book Club stamp set with the floral images from the Embellished Elegance stamp set.
PTI~Book ClubEmbellished Elegance is one of my all time favorites. I just love the classy refined look of the vines and how you can layer the blooms.
PTI~Book ClubI created a coordinating bookmark using one of the new Basic Bookmark dies. Isn’t this a cute little gift ensemble for the book lover?
PTI~BookmarkAnd next, I used one of the Basic Bookmark dies to create a holiday tag.
PTI~Bookmark tagThe new Season’s Greetings stamp set was used here as well as some new Make it Market pattern paper. I created a window for the sentiment with the Tag Sale #8 die. I also pulled out Bell’s & Boughs for the cute red bow, which I colored with Copics. I love that the bookmark dies can be dual purpose for both tags & bookmarks.
PTI~Bookmark tagAnd lastly, a monogrammed bookmark featuring the new Stitched Bookmark dies.
PTI~BookmarkI created a window in the Soft Stone striped paper using the Fillable Frames #7 die and added a stitched monogram using the Sew Stylish Alphabet 1 dies. I used the Bitty Button stacks dies for the added flowers.
PTI~BookmarkMy daughter caught wind of this bookmark. Word got out. Now everyone wants a custom bookmark. I then realized what a fun gift this would be for the holidays. Make sure and check out what the rest of the team created with these fantastic Book themed products. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Introducing Sparkle & Shine, NEW! Shaker Shapes dies

Hi there! Today I’m back for the second group post with Papertrey Ink featuring the new Sparkle & Shine products as well as the new Shaker Shapes die collections.PTI~Sparkle & ShineMy first card uses the Shaker Shapes: Snow Globe dies. I used the Cover Plate: Snow Drifts to create my scene within the snow globe, and my mini ink blender to blend in the blue sky. The sentiment is from the new Sparkle & Shine Holiday Additions stamp set, and the vellum snow flakes were die cut from dies included in the Snow Globe collection. Did you notice the gorgeous pattern paper? It’s also part of this fun Sparkle & Shine collection.
PTI~Sparkle & ShineMy next card features the Shaker Shapes: Stars dies.
PTI~Sparkle & ShineI wanted to give you a little peek at what my shaker card looks like before it’s assembled. One layer of foam tape with give you just enough shake, but if you wanna go all out, then use two layers of foam tape, and you will have the shakiest shaker in all of shaker land, ha ha. Those sequins need some room to dance.
PTI~Sparkle & ShineI don’t really consider myself to have a heavy hand in the glitter department, but this sparkly word die, just makes my heart skip a beat. I ran the die cut word through my xyron machine and then dipped it in some glitter. Glitter paper would have been a lot less work. Why I don’t have any is beside me. I used more of the yummy pattern paper here as well and some random sequins from my stash.
PTI~Sparkle & ShineBe sure and check out what the rest of the team has created with these amazing new Sparke & Shaker products.
