Tag You’re It~Guest Designer

Hi there! Today I’m excited to be joining the Tag You’re It challenge blog for their second challenge. I love tags, and I think this challenge is such a great idea. I hope you will join in the fun!TYIC_2
For my tag I started with some Tim Holtz watercolor paper and embossed the Grid Background stamp in clear. Then I did the “smoosh” technique by inking up my acrylic block with Distress inks, spritzing with water and smooshing it onto the watercolor paper. If you haven’t seen the “smooshing” action before, here’s a post where I share a video of this fun technique.
SSS~Tag You're It ChallengeAfter the ink dried, I added some die cut vellum leaves, the sentiment and some glossy accent dots.

PTI~ July Release in Review

Hello again! I’m back again with Papertrey Ink for my MEGA release in review post.PTI~Big Ticket AdditionsFirst up is the Big Ticket Additions stamp set with coordinating dies. I paired it with a sentiment from the new Banner Sentiments set.
PTI~Big Ticket AdditionsThis next card features the new Botanical Blocks II stamp set.
PTI~Botancial Blocks 2I colored it with Copics and added a sentiment from the Keep it Simple: Thinking of You stamp set.
PTI~Botancial Blocks 2And next is the Note Niblets. First of all, I don’t what it is about the word Niblets that just makes me giggle, but these fun banners just make me happy as all get out. It kinda makes me feel like I’m in a Mexican restaurant stuffing my face with chips & salsa. It all comes down to food, doesn’t it?
PTI~Note NibletsFirst I die cut the banner using the coordinating dies and then stamped them and then stitched them on. The sentiment is from the new Banner Sentiments set, which I curved to flow with the banners.
PTI~Note NibletsAnd a wee little tag featuring the Birthday Classics: August set. I inked up the stamp with Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise & Orange Zest. The tag die is from the Tag Sale #4.
PTI~Birthday Classics: AugustNext up is Phrase Play #6. I trimmed some strips of Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise & Berry Sorbet cardstock to adhere on an angle under the coordinating die.
PTI~Phrase Play #6I combined it with it with one of the new Wet Paint Cuts II dies.
PTI~Phrase Play #6And for this last card, I embossed the Wet Paint Alphabet in clear and blending in some Distress ink in Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade & Squeezed Lemonade.
PTI~Wet Paint AlphabetThen I combined the Monthly Moments: Travel & Simply Framed die for the striped frame. Sentiment is from Phrase Play #1 & Keep it Simple: Thank You.
PTI~Wet Paint AlphabetWhew! We made it to the end! Thanks for hangin’ in there with me. You can see & buy all these awesome new product tonight in the Papertrey Ink store. Be sure and see what the rest of the amazing ladies have created, too:

Designer Phone Case Inspirations

Hi there! I’m back again today with Papertrey Ink for another group post. Today’s post is all about creating custom phone cases using the new Phone Case & Details dies.PTI~Phone Case diesFirst I die cut my phone case with Ocean Tides felt & then die cut about a million colorful little diamonds to stitch on the front. I went round and round about how to customize it. There’s just so many options to pick from such as monograms, flowers, stripes and chevrons, etc.
PTI~Phone Case diesI used the same diamond dies and colors of cardstock to coordinate with the case.
PTI~Phone Case diesI used the one of the Wet Paint dies for my sentiment as well as the Stylish Sentiments: Birthdays stamp set.
PTI~Phone Case diesI’m proud to announce that this passed the teenage daughter approval test. Whew! Not an easy test to pass. She let me borrow her iPod for the photo shoot, while she made grilled cheese for supper. Not a bad trade, right? One custom case for a night out of the kitchen. She did the dishes, too…woot!

PTI~Pack Your BagsThese next two cards feature the new These United States stamp set & coordinating dies.
PTI~These United StatesI used the United States die to cut an opening in some striped Soft Stone pattern paper. The heart is supposed to be placed in the heart of Illinois, my home:)
PTI~These United StatesI made one more with some Soft Stone polka dot pattern paper and another sentiment from the stamp set.
PTI~These United StatesI used the Vertical Striped Cover Plate for the tone on tone background.
PTI~These United StatesAnd lastly, a couple of luggage tags using the new Tag Sale #11 die.
PTI~Get Lost, Tag Sale #11The sentiments are from the new Get Lost stamp set designed by Nichole. These sentiments have such beautiful font combinations.
PTI~Get Lost, Tag Sale #11The journal papers from the Monthly Moments collections work great for these luggage tags. The orange polka dotted one is from the June paper pack and the blue one is from the July pack.

Welcome to the Create A Smile First Release Blog Hop!
Create a Smile is a new stamp company in town, located in Germany!

When Christine Drogt started illustrating and sharing images with friends, it soon became crystal-clear that those images would make awesome clear stamps.  Because Christine has always loved to make people smile (it can be as easy as smiling at strangers!) the name was found quickly (thanks to her friend Alison!) and the vision became reality.

Create A Smile
