Today I’m joining Mama Elephant for their April challenge. This month we have a beautiful inspiration photo.
I used several different stamp sets to create a cute little birthday shaker card. I had a million different sets all strung out everywhere to see what I could use for this and that. The owl is from the Just Hatched set. The party hat is from the Honey Bunny set. The balloon is from the Pandamonium set, and the sentiment is from Make a Wish…whew…oh, and I used the Love Quotes die to create the shaker window.
I also added a few stitches below the owl with some aqua floss. Shakers are such a big hit around here. The kids just love ‘em!
Here’s the details for the challenge:
1. You must use a Mama Elephant stamp
2. Challenge duration 4/4/2014 – 4/30/2014
3. No limit to how many entries, in other words, go buck wild!
4. Link up using the Inlinkz tool on the Mama Elephant blog
5. PRIZE: A SPOT ON THE ME CHALLENGE TEAM!!!!

Hello! Today I’m joining the Little Tangles challenge blog for their 34th challenge…has there been that many already? The theme for this challenge is one of my favorite techniques…masking!
I used the Just for You stamp set and lots and lots of masking to create my stripes.
Here’s a quick little video to show you how I created my card.
Make sure and check out the Little Tangles blog and play along with some fun masking techniques! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Today I have the honor of joining A Blog Named Hero as they celebrate their 2nd birthday with a fabulous hop. If you’re following the hop, then you should have arrived here from the lovely Tanja Kewel-Neef’s blog.
Since we are celebrating a 2nd birthday, I thought I’d make two cards. These feature some of the fabulous Hero Arts cut files found in the Silhouette store. The card above is one single cut file called Happy Birthday Flat Card. I used it on some Hero Arts pool layering paper….could not have been simpler and more lovely. The background on the below card is a cut file called Uneven Stripe Background and the leaves were cut out with the Birds on Branch cut file. I blended in some Picked Raspberry on the card base, and the sentiment is from the Type stamp set.
Go check out A Blog Named Hero to see the entire blop hop list and while you’re there, wish them a wonderful 2nd birthday. Leave me a comment for your chance to win a prize package from either Hero Arts or Simon Says Stamp…Woot! Thank so much for hopping by! You’re next stop on the hop is the fabulous Cherion Brandon.

Hi there! Today I’m up on the Simon Says Stamp blog sharing this fun Easter project using some of the new Spring release products.I used the Balloon dies to create these cute Easter eggs, and the Medium Polka Dot stencil for the background.

Today I have the great pleasure of wishing one of my blogging buddies, Maria, a very happy birthday. The lovely Shirley-Bee is hosting a little birthday linky-party in Maria’s honor. Maria is a sweetheart and has been so kind to send me some German treats on occasion. I’m so thankful that I’ve had the chance to get to know her a little bit. I think she has a fabulous, unique style and great sense of humor, too!
I thought it was the perfect time to share my Paper Smooches projects since they all happen to be birthday related. This first card uses the new Quotables dies as well as the Balloon dies and the Party Posse stamp set. Now if I lived closer to Maria, I’d bring her some of these little treats below, since party unicorns are Maria’s favorite. You love My Little Pony stuff, don’t ya Maria? That’s what I thought:) These are the new Spectrum stamps and coordinating dies.
This final card uses the new Friend word die. I free-handed a little swoosh and heart under the word die and poked some holes to stitch the thread. The sentiment is from the Group Hug stamp set.
Wish big, Maria!!! Make sure and head on over the Shirley-Bee’s blog to see all the birthday fun and feel free to jump on in and create a card for Maria’s birthday if you’d like! Thanks so much for stopping by! Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Maria! We kinda like you a lot♥
Hello there! Today I’m just popping in to share a fun card that I made with the new Hello Line Stencil from Simon Says Stamp. This is one of the new Spring release products that I’ve been wanting to play with for a long time.I used post-it tape to mask off segments for blending ink over the stencil. I was so inspired by this gorgeous card by Julie Ebersole. I love everything she makes. Did you see her interview with Chaitali? Oh my gosh, best interview ever! Love her personality and especially getting a peek into her craft space.
I really love the colors you can get when you let the inks overlap. You can get seven colors for the price of four! We are currently on our third viewing of Frozen. I bought it yesterday for the kids as a spring break surprise. A few of them were happy at least. Emma nearly had a heart attack over it! It’s Friday and all that matters is that there will be pizza and there will be Coke and there will probably be another viewing of Frozen and I am happy about that. It’s the little things, isn’t it? Have a great weekend♥
I also have a winner to announce for my True Stamp event giveaway….congrats Julie Seagrave! I will be contacting you!

Hi there! Today I’m back again with Mama Elephant highlighting the new Make a Wish stamp set.For my first card, I used the Trifects stamp set to create the background and the Make a Wish for the sentiment.
For this last card, I used the balloons from Party Kit and the Make a Wish for the sentiment. I think this Make a Wish stamp set has become a fan favorite for sure because of it’s gorgeous lettering. Check out the Mama Elephant blog to see more of this new fabulous sentiment set. Thanks for looking!
