Mama Elephant~Sentimental Borders

Hi there! Today I’m back again with Mama Elephant as we highlight the new Sentimental Borders stamp set.Mama Elephant~Sentimental BordersI used one of the border stamps to create my background and then used the Inline Letter dies to die cut my sentiment. I popped it up over an ink blended card base.
Mama Elephant~Sentimental BordersSome of you might have already seen this video of my family participating in the Ice Bucket Challenge(quite entertaining ofcourse), but I thought it was fitting to share here today, considering that Mama Elephant nominated me to do it. This is a wonderful cause to raise awareness about ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. It is such a terrible disease that desparately needs attention and support. If you are interested in learning more, please go to the ALS website and consider making a donation.

PTI~August Release in Review

Hi there! Today I’m back with my final projects from the August release. She’s a doozie of a release, eh? Let’s just dive right in, okey dokey? First up is a card that uses three new stamp set: Along Came a Spider, Keep It Simple: Halloween & Haunted Borders. These are really fun & festive stamps for Halloween time. My favorite part of Halloween…snack sized Junior Mints. My least favorite part of Halloween…eating too many snack sized Junior Mints.PTI~Along Came a SpiderThis next set is a super gorgeous one: Autumn Adornments. No matter what your skill level is, this card will make you look like so classy & sophisticated. That’s what I’m telling myself anyways.PTI~Autumn Adornments
This next card uses a really cute new set called Tick Tock. I adore this cuckoo clock image.PTI~Tick TockIsn’t it so cute how the shutters open and the bird sits on the ledge, just waiting to pop out and scare the tar out of you every hour on the hour? I added a little Copic shading to the birds body.
PTI~Tick TockNext up is the Keep It Simple: Thanksgiving stamp set. I stamped the stripes using the Background Basics: Super Stripes set and added some ink blended die cut leaves. I even got a comment from hubby on this one. He said, “Oh, that’s a nice one. It looks a little Canadian.” Anything with a maple leaf on it is Canadian to him I guess.
PTI~Keep It Simple: ThanksgivingAnd this last one is features the new Phrase Play #7 set. Hard to believe there’s been seven of these Phrase Play sets already. It’s also hard to believe that I’m coming up on a year with PTI. It’s also hard to believe how filthy my house is right now, too, but that’s another story for another day.
PTI~Phrase Play #7I was able to use the Phrase Play die with the new Monthly Moments August journal papers.
PTI~Phrase Play #7Make sure and check out what the rest of the team created with the new release. Thanks so much for stopping by!

PTI~Introducing Superstition

Hi there! I’m back again for another group post with Papertrey Ink. Today we are showcasing the new “cat” themed sets & coordinating dies.PTI~Introducing SuperstitionMy first card uses the new Superstition & Full Moon stamp sets. I stamped my moon with Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise & a bit of Orange Zest to give it some dimension. Then I die cut a window with my circle dies and popped the black cat silhouette as if it were looking out at the moon. When I was growing up, I had a black cat named October. She was exactly like this cat and exactly like how you’d think a black would be. She would hide under the bed and wait patiently to attack your feet at night.PTI~Introducing SuperstitionFor my next card, I use another one of the Superstition dies and did some partial die cutting to keep the cat silhouette image intact with the pattern paper.PTI~Introducing SuperstitionThis sentiment makes me laugh because it’s so true.
PTI~Introducing SuperstitionI couldn’t leave you without a picture of our cat, Bella. She gets more love than she desires. Her expression tells it all. That’s a doll skirt around her neck, ha ha! Poor thing.UntitledShe doesn’t even fight it anymore. She just goes the entire day with a princess necklace on and doesn’t even care. I guess we’ve worn her right down, lol. Check out the what the rest of the team create with these fun “cat” themed set. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Introducing Fancy That

Hi there! Today I’m back again with Papertrey Ink for our second group post featuring the new Fancy That stamp set. This is a gorgeous set with the most beautiful medallion images.PTI~Fancy ThatFor my first card I used one of the medallion images and stamped it repeatedly to create a clear embossed design. Then I blended in some color using two inks for each medallion, lighter on the outside and darker on the inside. The sentiment was white embossed on vellum. I used a scallop border die on the vellum to create the scallop edge.PTI~Fancy ThatThis next card was super simple. I just stamped one large medallion image with Memento ink and then Copic colored the rest.
PTI~Fancy ThatSuch a fun image to color. I stamped the medallion again so that I could trim out the center flower image and pop it up.
PTI~Fancy ThatI wanted to show you a close up of my glossy accents. I added a teeny tiny yellow gemstone to the center of the flower.PTI~Fancy ThatCheck out the what the rest of the team create with this beautiful new set. Thanks so much for stopping by!
