Mama Elephant-Woodland Gifts

Hi there! Today I’m sharing a project featuring the Woodland Gifts stamp set & coordinating dies as well as several of the new May release products from Mama Elephant.Mama Elephant-Woodland GiftsI used the the Bella Letters to add my poem and the Grassy Trio dies for the grass.
Mama Elephant-Woodland GiftsOn the inside of the card I used the new Pop-Up Trio dies to pop up the bear and bunny. I’m not sure what’s more fun: a shaker card or a pop-up card. Maybe my next card should be a pop-up shaker card?
Mama Elephant-Woodland GiftsI stamped the remainder of my silly poem using the Bella Letters set, which I’m not entirely sure goes with bears & bunnies, but just go with it.

Paper Smooches-Stitched Flourishes 2 DiesI used the new Stitched Flourishes 2 Dies to create the background pattern on my card. I die cut the new Frame 4 die into the panel and layered it up for dimension, then added one of the Hello Words die cuts and added glitter to it.Paper Smooches-Stitched Flourishes 2 DiesThanks so much for hopping by!

SSS-June 2015 Card Kit

1_325507_ZMHello there! Today I’m just popping in to share a quick card that I made using the June 2015 Card Kit by Simon Says Stamp.SSS-June 2015 Card KitBasically, I went to town with the Smile Circle die that comes in the kit. This fabulous little die is also sold separately. I created a square mask to blend in the ink behind each die cut.

Paper Smooches projects & Mask-erade winner

Hello there! Just sharing a few Paper Smooches projects today. This first card features the new Frame 4 die that will be available on June 1st. I also used the Love word die and die cut it onto some double-sided foam and coated it with Microfine Antique Silver glitter.Paper Smooches-Frame 4 die, Love Word Die, Spiritual SamplerThis next card features the File Folder die. For the sentiment, I stitched on the Thanks word die.
Paper Smooches-File Folder, Thanks word dieNext up is the cutie patootie My Peeps stamps & coordinating dies. I did a little partial die cutting to keep the penguin intact with the white panel and then added a party banner, party hat & balloon from Luminous Spring and sentiment from Word Salad.
Paper Smooches-My Peeps stamps & dies, Luminous Spring, Word SaladAnd this last card uses the Happy Birthday word die. First I created the rainbow striped background using post-it tape for masking and ink blending. Then I die cut the Happy Birthday word die cut right into the rainbow stripes and layered it up to give it thickness and pop out from the card.
Paper Smooches-Happy Birthday word dieI will be showing some fun ways to used this awesome masking technique in the upcoming Mask-erade class, starting tomorrow….woot! Speaking of which, I have three winners to announce from my Mask-erade class giveaway
Congrats to…beaumama, marloumac & beej. I will be emailing you!

One last thing before I go….

My-Scrap.Ru Blog Feature

Hello! Today I have the honor of being a guest on the Russian papercrafting blog My-Scrap.Ru.
SSS-Lovely SpringI’m also sharing this card as part of a challenge on their blog. The challenge is to use ink smooshing in some way. You all know how much I love ink smooshing. I used the Lovely Spring stamp set with coordinating Lovely Day dies by Simon Says Stamp. I only used two Distress ink colors for my smooshing, Salty Ocean & Picked Raspberry, but the combination they make when smooshed is just heavenly.
SSS-Lovely SpringYou can see the full interview and challenge over on the My-Scrap.Ru blog. Feel free to play along! I’d love to see what you smoosh:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

Mama Elephant-Bella Letters

Hi there! I’m back with Mama Elephant highlighting the new Bella Letters stamp set. I love alphabet sets. I think they are so fun for personalizing cards as well as creating your own custom sentiment.Mama Elephant-Bella LettersSo here’s the thing. In the beginning it looked to me like this cute little puppy was tired and exhausted so I added a funny sentiment to go with him. Then I showed it to my hubby, and he was like, “Um, I hate to break it to ya, hot stuff, but he’s not tired. He’s ready to play.” So there you have it. Clearly I understand bear & monkey nonverbal communication better than puppies. I don’t know how I missed that one…ha ha. Maybe I was just looking for a reason to put this saying on a card. I just relate to it so much, don’t you?
Mama Elephant-Bella LettersI snapped a quick pic to show you my high-falutin’ way of keeping my letters straight. I used some post-it tape. Check out the Mama Elephant blog to see more fun projects using the new Bella Letters stamp set. Thanks for looking!
