Hello there! Have ya’ll seen the new Plan On It release with Simon Says Stamp? If you love planners, then you will love these new products. I myself, am the furthest thing from a planner addict. I am a “fly by the seat of my pants, planner rebel” type of gal….but I’m trying. I really am trying to change, because, well, all of this planner stuff is just so darn fun, and goodness knows, I could use a little organization of the mind lately. One thing I have done for a long time is print out a month at at a time to keep track of my blogging deadlines and stuff, so I tried out some of these new products with my “red-neck” system:) Those little water glasses are so fun to fill up. It’s embarrassing how giddy one can get by filling in eight glasses, lol.
These stamps and cutie-patootie little ink cubes are so fun! I love that I can really highlight certain things using color and little banners. I’ve been trying really hard to remember birthdays, so this is great way for me to remember this. It’s kind of fun to sit down and take time to look over the month and just wrap your brain around what needs to be accomplished.
I couldn’t resist making a card with these new products, too.
I took one of the tiny line stamps and created a sort of grid background with Sea Glass ink, and then added the Today die with some soft Cotton Candy ombre blending on it.
Check out the Simon Says Stamp blog to see more about the new release. I also just happened to see my dear friend, Debby Doodle’s blog this morning. That girl is a planner extraordinaire! Make sure and check out her blog to see how she uses these fabulous new products! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hello there! Today I have the great pleasure of joining my dear friend, Virginia, for her 13th challenge. Her challenge is celebrating it’s first birthday this month! Congratulations, Virginia!!The theme this month is embossing, so I did some emboss resist using watercolors. First I embossed the background using a Winnie & Walter stamp set and then added a custom sentiment that I made with my Silhouette. I just typed in the sentiment that I wanted, squeezed the letters closer, welded them together and cut it out. Nothing fancy, I swear.
This next card uses the Grid Background stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.
I can’t get over how gorgeous these Gansai watercolors paint.
Here’s a little video to show you how I created these cards.
Head over to Virginia’s challenge blog to see all the amazing entries so far and play along for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hello there! Today I have a card to share featuring the adorable new Three Amigos stamp set with coordinating dies.
I created a frame for my “amigos” using the Index Card dies. Then I made a hill for them to stand on using one of the Borderlines Trio dies. I used Mojito to blend in the green for the hill & Rainwater for the sky. After coloring these cute little critters with Copics & adding the sentiments, I popped them up with foam tape and added a few little hearts from using the Confetti dies. I have one more project that I made using this same set. You can see it over on the Mama Elephant blog.
Thanks so much for looking!
Hi there! Today I’m just sharing a few of my projects using the Simon Says Stamp February card kit. This first card uses some of the gorgeous pattern papers in the kit by Authentique. I stamped the flowers from the Flowers On My Mind set and added a little shading using Copics. To finish it off, I added the Onyx liquid pearls to the centers of the flowers.
These next two cards really feature the Medium Dot die that comes in the kit, which just make my heart go pitter patter.
I die cut several colors of cardstock and layered them. Don’t even try this without a Quickstik. You will seriously pull your hair out. The Quickstik is the best thing since sliced bread, I tell ya.
For this last card, I die cut the row of dots over and over to create a dotted panel.
Then I masked off a rectangle and used my mini ink blender to blend in an ombre background. To finish it off I white embossed the sentiment on black cardstock.
That’s all for today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
Hi there! Today I’m joining Winnie & Walter as they showcase their new Cutaway dies. I have a project featuring the Lulu Fringe Cutaway. You know with a name like “Lulu” it’s gonna be darling.I created a little gift box using my envelope punch board and stamped it with a sentiment from The Big, the Bold and Party stamp set.
I used the Lulu Fringe Cutaway to create my cute little pom poms. Here’s a quick little video to show you how easy it was.
Make sure and check out the Winnie & Walter blog to see more fantastic projects with these new dies. Thanks so much for stopping by!

My card features the new Butterfly Duet dies. I used my Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors to paint the butterflies and stamped a sentiment from the Scripty Sayings stamp set. Do you see how the “m” on the sentiment nestles right into that yellow butterfly wing like a match made in heaven? Dang, that was a happy little accident. Couldn’t have planned it if I tried.
Thanks so much for hopping by!
