colourQ challenge #106

colourQ challenge #106 by L. Bassen
Here’s a card for the latest ColourQ challenge.  I knew I had to play because these colors are too awesome to ignore!! I love them together.  So I made yet another pumpkin card.  Let’s see if I can bear to give this many precious orange buttons away to someone.  Will they know how much my buttons mean to me?

  1. so stinkin cute!! I have a hard time giving away cards that I use a lot of product on. Call me selfish but I worry they will end up in the trash! 🙂 Maybe that is why I am a CAS girl… too selfish! LOL!!

  2. I know how you feel about giving it away. I once spent hours making a card for Mother’s Day, which was not an awesome card, but cute and well done. My mother looked at it for about 2 seconds and said, “Do you want me to rip these buttons (chipboard) off before I throw it away and give them back to you?” Yup, cards are ephemera. People DO throw them away, and I often think they are definitely not worth the hours I put into them, let alone the beloved stash materials. I suggest you cover the sentiment with a Halloween sentiment and keep it as a holiday decoration for yourself.

  3. Oh, when Arielle makes her button cards, I just want to cry to think about all the ones she has used, but they’re SO STINKIN’ CUTE!!! And so is yours—bright & fun & happy. Make sure someone who will appreciate it receives it! 😀 Thanks for participating at the CQC this week!

  4. Congratulations on being selected this week’s Colour Queen! Your card is spectacular…a real work of art! I think you should frame it and keep it for a yearly Halloween decoration. Or….you could send it to me and I would treasure it. 😉 Smiles, Pam

  5. Laura, I don’t know how I missed this card, and I don’t know how I missed you being crowned Colour Queen! This card is totally gorgeous! I’m with you in having trouble giving away cards that have lots of “things” on them, I think very carefully about who receives them, LOL!
