Design Diagnosis

Today, my good friend Wida is sharing an interview she did with me for herย Design Diagnosis segment. If you need a good chuckle, you might wanna check it out.

And I have a bonus video for you. Here’s a video of my kids talking about their favorite cards of mine: Don’t laugh too hard, ok?

  1. Laura, I love your creative work and always look forward to seeing your blog pop up on my Google Reader. I’m so glad Wida did an interview with you and I got to learn more about you and see your crafting space. I did not know you had five children. I don’t know how you have time to even think of designs for your cards let alone execute those designs.

  2. This was super cute….Charlie just cracked me up! Your video for CAS 2 was awesome as well….I say more videos are in your future! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. So fun to see your kids, Laura! They are all so sweet – Charlie definitely had me laughing out loud! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for sharing! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I love it! Don’t know how you find time to create so much with five kiddos! You have your hands full! So glad that you shared this!

  5. I love that you have 5 kids! I have 6. We should be friends, if only to go shopping together with all of them so everyone can stare at us. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Laura, I really enjoyed both your videos and the design dx. Your kids are so adorable. Love that Charlie “have no words”. Thanks for the tour of your craft space. Envy the natural daylight you get.

  7. Awesome interview. Love, love love your design style. Was so interesting to get a “behind the scenes” look at your life. Seriously impressed that you can even get your craft table that clean! It would take a miracle to ever find the top of my desk, and I don’t have any kidlets to chase after.

  8. What a fun bonus video!! LOVE your kiddos! And Charlie reminds me of a young Keanu Reeves! Such a cool family! ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh, and loved Wida’s DD. Thanks for the recipe!

  9. That was fun! I checked out the Design diagnosis blog with your table, which I’ve seen before, but not inside the drawers. Very nice! I have a space, but my table is my ironing board.

  10. So I couldn’t wait to read your interview, darted off there, and came back to watch your kids’ video and let you know how much I love your personality! Totally felt like I had come over and you were showing me around your crafty space. You’d be so great doing a segment on a local news channel! Also, I commented to Wida that your youngest daughter was cracking me up by running the stamp cleaner up and down her face in the background of your top 5 products video! Completely enjoyed myself!

  11. Laura, you are AWESOME.
I must also add that I love your craft space! I loved watching how you store all you crafty things. And this bonus video is so cute! ๐Ÿ˜€

  12. Laura I loved seeing your videos on Wida’s blog and then this one. I can not believe you have 5 kids and still have time and energy to create such amazing cards! Loved seeing your adorable children…they made me smile!

  13. Laura, I loved Wida’s DD on you. She captured so many of the things I like about you and your creative style. ๐Ÿ™‚ Your kids are gorgeous. I love their happy smiles. While I was watching videos, I checked out Bobby Clobber, too! Still giggling…

  14. Laura, seriously you are just too cute! Tell your hubby I think I have a girl-crush on you!!! You are AMAZING and such an inspiration to me. Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations and family and personality with us!

  15. Laura, you are such a treat! This video and Widaโ€™s intereview are so special! I love how at ease you are, how unpretentious. You have it all, and yet you donโ€™t act like โ€œMs. Thang,โ€ you know? You just โ€œrock itโ€ like you are nobody special, but you are, you really are. You are blessed, you have an attitude of gratitude, you are sweetly in love with your husband, who you spontaneously acknowledged and showed to us via his support and tender gifts, and you project motherhood with a perfect balance few of us can achieve. Your beautiful children reflect all of that. Thank you for sharing how you create such unbelievably delicious cards without a dedicated room and thousands of supplies, while running an active household and holding down Design Team positions. Wow. Again I say, you ROCK!

  16. Yeah, OK leave it to Darnell to take the words out of one’s mouth, but her words are always much better anyway! Just had to say after this bonus video, you do ROCK. What a fantastic family you are raising (and what a sweet hubby you obviously have too – sentimental hockey player? Oxymoron?). And your gorgeous card creations in the midst of the madness – you ROCK.

  17. This video, as well as Wida’s diagnosis made my day! You are a riot to watch. I love your free spirit. Your kids are just too precious for words! Oh and I ADORE your work!
I have three kids and hardly get time to craft. I can’t imagine how you do it. But whatever you do…. Keep bringing these lovely cards ๐Ÿ˜‰

  18. Hi Laura! Okay, I JUST got done reading Wida’s diagnosis thingy, and LOVED it!! It’s soooo freakin’ fun to put a face and voice to your beautiful work. I loved your craft space, and your favorite craft products. But most of all, I loved your kids!! You not only are an amazingly genius card designer, but you make cute babies!! Thank you so much for sharing so much of you with all of your readers and fans (MEEEE!!!!) You are my hero, and I want to be just like you when I grow up!! XOXO

  19. All your children are so adorable and your son totally cracked me up when he said he doesn’t know why he likes the card! Fun! Fun! Fun! TFS!

  20. Okay, I just watched the video on Wida’s site and loved it! Now I can hear your “voice” (not just the sound, but the way you say things) in your blog writing, love it! ๐Ÿ™‚
