CASE Study~4th Anniversary blog hop

Hi there! Today I’m excited to be joining CASE Study as they celebrate their 4th Anniversary. It’s hard to believe that it’s been over two years since I had the opportunity to be a “Muse”. I was very honored that the lovely and talented Chupa asked me back to celebrate with such an amazing line up of designer. 4thanniversaryThe theme of the hop is “inspiration”. I found this gorgeously graphic design on Pinterest and the rest it history.
9ece8d7216ad1abeb8c12679bff8c936I searched for a die in this shape, but I couldn’t find what I wanted, so I used my Silhouette machine to create my own similar shape. The cut-out acted as a mask for blending in the overlapping colors.

  1. There’s absolutely no one out there who would rock CAS quite like you do. Well, actually I can think of a few Designers who match your class, but it’s truly a class on its own. Hugely in love every time I look at your blog ❤

  2. I love the way you overlapped the images, allowing the colored inks to blend together & create new, 2nd generation/secondary colors where they meet & blend (I also liked your Waffle Flower card with the circles in a rainbow spectrum) I also like the idea of using the Silhouette to create custom-made masks, as I’ve been toying with that idea for awhile, but have yet to try it. (:

  3. In true Laura Bassen style, there are beautiful colors. I love it and think you’re amazing. I look forward for your beautiful, colorful work.

  4. Awesome card, Laura! And it’s so ‘You’!!! I love the rainbow of colors and how each one blends so perfectly with the next…I never knew there was a specific reason for the sequence of the colors until you mentioned it in a video ~ Thanks! And, thanks for inspiring me once again!!!

  5. So perfect. So you. Did you know that the very first CASE Study challenge I ever played along with was when you were a muse? I hadn’t realized that was two years ago until you mentioned it. My time flies.

  6. yup, everyone is right… you are a stamping goddess! I gasp with every card you make. Great inspiration! BTW… what key words do you search when you are on pinterest? Is there like a cool graphics design place Im not finding? I need some serious punch in the inspiration category!
Thanks for the amazing card and being our muse!

  7. What a stunner this is ..loved the way you created your own mask using the silhoutte …What a bang on take on the pinterest inspiration 🙂

  8. Super card and amazing colours, it is so fresh to make just easy simple and clean card, really great. I wish we have here in Czech Republic more carmakers who will make simple cards.

  9. I love the rainbow of colors and that shape is perfect. I may have to crank up my Silhouette and try it out. What did you cut the shape from? I’ve tried cutting acetate, but apparently I don’t have the right weight – it mangled it.

  10. Love how you figured out a way to make this idea work for you. And how you got the pattern to line up so even and straight….

  11. I love it – and isn’t the silhouette wonderful for making your own shapes and masks and stencils – and I love hello cards thanks for sharing

  12. It kills me how you can take the simplest things and make them look like a million bucks. I always love your “rainbow” cards.

  13. I just love the colors, and yourstyle… Al these colors on a white – just amazing, play so naturally and tastfully (if i may say so). Thanks so much for the inspiration!!!

  14. Who needs stamps when Laura is on the CASE! You continue to amaze me and you also have an awesome family.

  15. Love this Laura…totally love it! You persevered after not finding the die shape that you had in mind and put the engineering hat on. Love when we have to do that and the results are so brilliant! I think I might want to case your card for the challenge 🙂
    So inspiring. Thanks!

  16. I love the idea behind this challenge and can’t believe I haven’t come across it before. Hope I find time to join in.
