Introducing Make It Market Mini Kit: Garden Gild

Hi there! I’m back again with Papertrey Ink as we introduce the new Make It Market Mini Kit: Garden Gild designed by Betsy Veldman.PTI-Garden GildThis new kit might be one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen in a long time. I’ve created two cards using this kit. The first one is very simple and easy to recreate.
PTI-Garden GildI used one of the gorgeous pattern papers with the loose watercolor and “love” already printed on it. I added some additional stamped sentiments above & beneath it as well as adhering the cover plate on top. So simple to make and so gorgeous to give.
PTI-Garden GildMy next card was a bit more involved but totally worth the effort.
PTI-Garden GildThe cover plate that comes in the kit is so beautiful and intricate. Even though it’s pretty enough to leave plain white, it was begging me to color it with my Copics.
PTI-Garden GildAfter coloring it in, I layered it up with a few more cover plate die cuts to give it some dimension and thickness. I stamped a very simple sentiment from the stamp set and called it a day.

  1. I love them both, I like the combo of the lace look with the watercolor gives it a understated elegance.

  2. Two very EXQUISITE cards, Laura – This l=kit is pure style and I can’t wait to have a “play” with it. Thank you for the glorious and stunning inspiration.

  3. Oh WOW!! The first card is gorgeous, love the white lacy look. You obviously donned your cape & exercised your Super Powers on the second card – stunning! I gasped…oooooohhhhh

  4. VERY impressive, Laura! Not that Betsy needs any help increasing sales of her designed kits, etc., but you’ve definitely done just that. The white cover plate is lovely but your Copic-colored one is fabulous. You are definitely the queen of coloring and blending…along with smooshing!

  5. EEEEKKKK!!!! Absolutely gorgeous! Both cards are beautiful as you determined…plain white AND colored. What an inspiration. The white one is so formal and oh so beautiful. And I never thought of coloring the flowers and petals. Only you…only you…. would think of such creations. Thanks so much for inspiring us!

  6. Laura, I can see how your card would be quite time consuming, but like you said “totally worth it”! It’s so beautiful. I’m not one to use cover plates but I’m going to buy this one just because of your card!!!

  7. Hi Laura,

Both of your cards are AWESOME, but the second one left me wanting for more AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!!!

    Cariños,
    María Alba

  8. My goodness, you really know how to showcase a product, Laura! Your cards are absolutely GORGEOUS! The patterned paper is so perfect on the first one, and I love, love, love how you designed the 2nd card…really stunning work!

  9. You never disappoint. Beautiful…. Love what you did with the stamps and dies. So much texture and dimension
