SSS-September Card Kit

September-2015-Card-Kit-600-revisedHello there! Just popping in to share a couple of projects using the new September Card Kit by Simon Says Stamp.
SSS-Birthday BitsI love the Birthday Bits stamp set that is included in the kit. Anything with balloons is a win/win in my book! I used post-it notes to mask off my balloons and cluster them together at the top of the card. After coloring the balloons with Copics, I stamped the balloon tales with Fog ink and the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black.
SSS-Birthday BitsI don’t usually rave much about pattern papers, but I seriously love the papers included in this month’s kit. They are by Pink Fresh Studio and the colors and whimsical designs are fabulous.
SSS-September Card KitI used one of the pattern papers here and stamped three balloons using the Birthday Bits stamp set. This set also includes a solid balloon image. I used it and a bit of rock n’ roll inking to get the shading on the balloons. Using my stamp press, I stamped the sentiment on the balloons and pattern paper and lined them all up to fit together.
SSS-September Card KitHoping to make a few more projects with the card kit. There’s the cutest little stencil included and some Gesso that I’ve never tried before. That’s all for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Ooohhh….birthday balloon cards! I love the balloons and the colors you used on them on the first card. Your ink blending…copics, watercolor or distress…whatever….is always spot on. The fussy cutting and 3D mounting of the balloons on the second card was just the right touch, plus the coloring of the balloons on the second card matched PERFECTLY w/the patterned paper. You are terrific!

  2. awesome laura..:) i love your cheerful cards… now you need clothes like those colors all blended together.. go now and buy your RIT fabric die… 😉 i can see you doing it.. try a tee shirt.. awesome..
