STAMPtember® Exclusive: Tim Holtz

PrintHi there! Today Simon Says Stamp announced a new exclusive stamp and stencil set for STAMPtember® created by none other than Tim Holtz himself!STAMPtember®-Tim Holtz Holiday Stamp & StencilMy first project features the awesome new stencil. First I blended Candied Apple onto Neenah Solar white cardstock. Then I used white embossing paste with the stencil to create this gorgeous poinsettia background.STAMPtember®-Tim Holtz Holiday Stamp & Stencil
My next card features the Christmas tree image from the stamp set. I embossed the tree sentiment in clear and blended Twisted Citron & Mowed Lawn over top, masking the sides and bottom to create the tree shape.STAMPtember®-Tim Holtz Holiday Stamp & StencilI created the plaid pattern on the background by using post-it tape and distress inks on watercolor cardstock. I also added several colors of enamel accents to the tree for ornaments.STAMPtember®-Tim Holtz Holiday Stamp & StencilCheck out the Simon Says Stamp blog for more information about the new Tim Holtz collaboration. Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Two really gorgeous cards, Laura! Your embossing paste always looks so smooth and perfect, and I love how the colors are highlighted in the background…so elegant! I love how you created your own ornaments on the 2nd card, too…such a lovely tree and it works perfectly with your beautiful plaid background! Trying to hold on to my wallet, but you’re not making it easy, my friend 🙂

  2. LOVE these cards! Love the embossing with that awesome stencil and the black and white paper and your plaid background is beautiful with the sentiment tree!

  3. These are both fantastic. Loving the red, black and white of the poinsettia card and your amazing plaid background created with the post-it tape. Going to have to try something like that soon. 🙂

  4. I am constantly AWED at your creativity! All three latest cards are AWESOME….so neat and clean and colorful and wonderfully designed. LOVE!
