STAMPtember® Collaboration with Winnie & Walter

exclusive_winniewalter-600x282Hello there! Just popping in to share a project featuring the brand new STAMPtember® collaboration set designed by Winnie & Walter called Big Bloom.SSS & Winnie & Walter-Big BloomI forgot how much I love big, gorgeous blooms on a card. This set reminded me how pretty they look and how versatile they can be to use with so many different techniques. Here I embossed the bloom & leaves in clear embossing powder and then blended in Melon and Teeny Bikini ink for the flower & Jellybean & Lucky for the leaves. I added a strip of pattern paper from my October Card Kit that is by My Mind’s Eye and then also added a thin strip of cardstock that was inked up with Hot Mama. I rock n’ rolled the center part of the bloom in Teeny Bikini & Hot Mama.

Today I’m very happy to be joining Simon Says Stamp in a hop to promote their October 2015 Card Kit “Here’s Looking at You”.SSS-October Card KitI did some of my favorite “ink smooshing” after embossing the heart image from the fantastic stamp set, I See You, that is included in the kit. Then I added a sentiment using the Painted Hello word die.
SSS-October Card KitHere’s a little video to show you how I created my card.

Celebrating Cath Edvalson & Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Technique-Tuesday-Cath-Edvalson-Blog-Hop-GraphicHello! Today I’m joining with Technique Tuesday and several other talented designers in a hop to celebrate the brand new release designed by the one and only Cath Edvalson. I have admired Cath for years, and I am so thrilled to be a part of promoting her awesome new release with Technique Tuesday. If you are following the hop, then you should have arrived here from the lovely Kalyn Kepner’s blog.
Garden of Life by Cath EdvalsonIt’s no surprise that Cath would design products that are fresh, fun and perfectly on trend. I created a sort of frame for my sentiment using the new Garden Leaves dies.  After die cutting them, I used my mini ink blenders to blend in subtle ombre colors using Simon Says Stamp inks. I also added a little Wink of Stella for some shimmer.
Garden of Life by Cath EdvalsonAfter adhering the leaves, I stamped this fabulous sentiment from the new Garden of Life stamp set also designed by Cath. I love the way she mixed the modern and script fonts together.
Garden of Life by Cath EdvalsonTechnique Tuesday is giving away some amazing prizes in celebration of Cath’s new release. One person will win a package consisting of all 5 of Cath’s new products as well as two $25 gift certificates to Technique Tuesday. STAMPtember® Collaboration with WPlus9

srwpHello there! I’m back with another fabulous STAMPtember® collaboration designed by WPlus9 for Simon Says Stamp. This fun new set is called Band Camp, and I am seriously head over heels for it.srw915I’m not sure if you know this about me or not, but I am a total band geek. I played the trombone in the marching band, jazz band, concert band, pep band and any other band that was available for many, many years. Those were some of the best times of my life and so this set really strikes a chord (no pun intended, lol).
WPlus9 & SSS-Band CampHow cute are these images? I masked off a horizon line in the background with post-it tape to blend in ink for the grass & sky and colored the images in with Copics.

SSS-Warm Christmas Wishes

1_121Hello there! Just popping in to share another project from the STAMPtember® release.SSS-Warm Christmas WishesThis card features the new Warm Christmas Wishes stamp set, and it absolutely cracks me up! This was the first set that really caught my eye and I had such a blast creating this fun, tropical scene for Santa. I mean, when you can combine a rainbow beach ball, rainbow surf board and Santa Clause in a tank top, you know it’s gonna be a good day, lol!
SSS-Warm Christmas WishesUsing the Card Curved Edge die, I created a mask for the sand & sky. Then I colored all the images with Copics and popped them up with foam tape. Surf’s up, Santa baby! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Sunny Studio Grand Opening Blog Hop

Grand Opening GraphicHello there! Today I’m excited to be joining several talented designers to help Sunny Studio kick off their grand opening. If you’re following the hop then you should have arrived here from Melissa Bowden’s blog. I have a couple of projects to share featuring some of the brand new stamp sets.
Sunny Studio-Happy HomeThis first card showcased the new Happy Home stamp set. First I stamped & masked the images so that I could blend in some Lake Shores & Leaf Green for the sky & grass. After coloring the images with Copics, I stamped and embossed the sentiment, which is also from Happy Home and added a little heart gemstone to finish it off. Such fun architectural images in the set.
Sunny Studio-Happy HomeThis next card features the adorable new Santa’s Helpers stamp set. As soon as I saw that plump little cat all tangled up in Christmas lights with the star on it’s head, I was like, “Yep, I need it!”
Sunny Studio-Santa's HelpersI stamped & masked the images so that I could blend a subtle background of Sea Glass ink. After coloring the images with Copics, I popped up an oval window to frame the scene and added an embossed sentiment as well as a little bit of glossy accents on the Christmas lights.
