Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop!

Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store!Mama Elephant-Zenith Borders & Freestyle FloralsI used the new Zenith Borders to create the background with Winter pigment ink and a few Blush accents. The leaves were embossed on vellum using the new Freestyle Floral stamps & dies. The sentiment is from Bear Hugs. I also used my watercolors to add just a little black splattering. This is such a fun release. I love that you can get cutesy from the Bear Hugs & Three Amigos, whimsy from the Freestyle Florals and for that graphic craving, there’s Zenith Borders. It’s all covered, babe.IMG_6537

PTI-February Release in Review

Hi there! Today I’m back with Papertrey Ink to share my final release projects with you. All of the new product that I’m sharing today will be available tonight in the Papertrey Ink store.
There’s quite a few to show, so let’s just dive right in, okey dokey? First up is the fun Swoosh stamps & dies. I used the Tag Sale #10 die with some scrap pattern paper along with my favorite cream cotton twine.PTI-Swoosh For this next card I used the Monthly Moments: Year Round Mini set to create the tone on tone background with Soft Stone. I adhered the gorgeous Scene It: Everyday die cut in all white and added a simple sentiment that is also from the Monthly Moments: Year Round Mini set.
PTI-Monthly Moments: Year Round MiniNext up is the fun Beautiful Butterflies Layers stamp & dies. I stitched them down the side with a sentiment from the Blue Skies stamp set. I feel like I’ve broken some sort of law by putting my sentiment in this direction, but I just went with it. It’s growing on me.
PTI-Beautiful ButterfliesThis next card uses the beautiful Easter Alleluias stamp set as well as the Cover Plate: Blue Skies Rays. I used my ink blender to get the gradient sky with Hawaiian Shores and for the rays I used Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise & Harvest Gold. I trimmed out the strip above the sentiment with my craft knife, scissors & super powers.
PTI-Easter AlleluiasNext up is the Bitty Bouquets & Keep It Simple: Mothers sets.
PTI-Bitty BouquetsI used one of the sentiments from the Tucked In: Mother on the inside. Such beautiful sentiments for Mother’s Day.
PTI-Tucked in: MotherThis next card is one of my favorites…big shocker. It’s that color. It gets me everytime. This card features the Blue Skies set as well as the coordinating Blue Skies cover plate.
PTI-Blue SkiesThis card features the Quilted: Spring stamps & dies. I used the negative part of the quilt die to create my neutral pattern with Rustic Cream cardstock and Fine Linen ink. It’s kind of fun how you can still create a sort of “quilt-ish” pattern by using unexpected pieces rom the die cuts.
PTI-Quilted: SpringAnd my last card showcases the Etched Easter Eggs stamps & coordinating dies. I used my ink blenders to blend in the gradient color for the eggs.
PTI-Etched Easter EggsThanks so much for hanging in there with this never-ending post! Make sure and check out what the rest of the team has created with the new February release.

Introducing Make It Market Mini Kit: Lovely Laurels

LauraEveryone at Papertrey Ink is excited to share the news of Betsy Veldman’s new Make It Market Mini Kits!  The first one being released this weekend, on Sunday, February 15th.  To help celebrate, the entire design team is participating in a little scavenger hunt!  Be sure to visit Nichole’s blog for all the details so you can play along!  EIGHT $80 Papertrey Gift Certificates will be awarded to the participants!PTI-Lovely LaurelsThis is such a pretty little kit with gorgeous stamp images & coordinating pattern papers. On the card below I used two of the papers: one for the front panel, which I cut a circle window opening, and the other pattern paper was used as the sentiment. I think it’s so cool that the coordinating wreath die that comes with this kit also works on the pattern papers. It cut that wreath perfectly and see how it pops up, but yet still remains intact? Betsy is a genius, I tell ya.
PTI-Lovely LaurelsOn my next card I trimmed out the wreath completely and popped it up on a sewn banner.
PTI-Lovely LaurelsI used the Basic Bookmark 2 die to create my layered banners. Can you see that delicious new polka dotted vellum under there? Be still my vellum lovin’ heart. I also added some tiny little clear gemstones to the flowers and wreath.

Introducing Luxe Metallics

Hi there! I’m back again with Papertrey Ink highlighting the new Luxe Metallic products being released this month. I’ve created a card using a gold striped paper from the Luxe Foil Gold paper collection. These Luxe Foil papers come in both silver and gold and they are absolutely luscious.PTI-Luxe MetallicsI used the Framed Love die as well as a sentiment from the Sparkle & Shine: Holday mini stamp set.
PTI-Luxe MetallicsI also stitched two die cut hearts using the Heart-2-Heart die and some of the new Sheer Basics Vellum. Can you see the subtle tiny polka dot pattern on that vellum? So pretty! I also added a few sparkling clear sequins, tucked in here and there.
PTI-Luxe MetallicsThere’s so much more to see of the new Luxe Metallic products. Check out Nichole’s blog to see the whole shebang.

Introducing Petite Places

Hello there! Today I’m joining Papertrey Ink for another group post featuring the new Petite Places and Scene It products that are being released this month.PTI-Petite PlacesMy first projects showcases how the products can be used to create a card. I used one of the Scene It: Skyscapes dies to create the cloudy sky cutout. I added some subtle Hawaiian Shores with my ink blender and then the adorable little church front with one of the Petite Place: Pop Up Trees. I also added a tiny heart using on of the heart dies from the Shakers & Sprinkles heart dies.
PTI-Petite PlacesThis next project showcases how the products can be used to create a clear dome topper. I used it to top a Ball jar full of jelly beans, which, by the way, have disappeared completely? So much for using this as a gift. I guess I’ll have to fill it up again and then lock it in a safe:)
PTI-Petite PlacesI die cut the Petite Place Church in Hibiscus Burst cardstock with a Soft Stone polka dotted roof.
PTI-Petite PlacesI added a sentiment from the Petite Places: Church stamp set on one of the hills from the Scene It: Everyday dies.
PTI-Petite PlacesHow fun is this for gift giving? I love it so much. My kids were so impressed. Maybe they were just trying to butter me up so I’d open the jar, lol.

Introducing Enclosed

Hi there! I’m back again joining Papertrey Ink for our first group post featuring the new Enclosed products designed by Dawn McVey.PTI-EnclosedMy first project features the Enclosed: Basic Folded Tag die as well as the Enclosed: Flower stamp set. It’s a small stamp set, but it packs a powerful punch. I love the individual petal images that allow you to stamp and layer the colors in any combo you like. You know me and rainbows. We’re like peanut butter and jelly. I also created the little give bag using the Favor it Box 6 die.
PTI-EnclosedFor this next card I used the Enclosed: Flower dies as well as a sentiment from the Enclosed: Flower stamp set. She’s a shaker, baby.
PTI-EnclosedI did some subtle ink blending on the card base using Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise & Harvest Gold. For the shaker filling I added some sequins from Neat & Tangled and Silver Shimmer Beads from Pretty Pink Posh.
PTI-EnclosedI think my favorite thing about this new series is the cheerful uplifting vibe it gives. The idea of making someone smile is what it’s all about to me. I love the the fun smile sentiments in the stamp set as well as the dies.
PTI-EnclosedCheck out the Papertrey Ink blog to see what the rest of the design team has created using these fun new products.
