July My Monthly Hero kit

Hi there! Today I’m excited to be joining Hero Arts as they launch their July My Monthly Hero kit.MMH_Logo_TBThis month’s kit features a gorgeous ocean theme, with jellyfish, octopus and sea turtles, and lots of coral. Octopus are very trendy right now – who knew? Hero Arts is going to donate 10% of profits for our July 2016 MMH Kit to ocean preservation through the World Wildlife Foundation.
The Ombré Dolphin ink pad is brand new and inspired by the Pantone Color(s) of the Year, a pink to blue spectrum. It is exclusive to the kit through 2016.Hero Arts-July Card KitI embossed a few images from the stamp set included in the kit onto Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock and then blended in several different distress inks followed by lots of water flicks with my Mini Mister.

SSS-Plush Ice Cream Cone

Hello there! Today I have a fun little project to share featuring the cute new Plush Ice Cream Cone diePlush Ice Cream Cone die that came out in the Among the Stars release by Simon Says Stamp.SSS-Plush Ice Cream ConeI thought this little ice cream cone would make the perfect little gift baggie to hold a small gift: some money, a little candy or maybe even a lip gloss.
SSS-Plush Ice Cream ConeI wanted it to be easy, so I skipped the whole stitching thing and hot glued my cone together as well as glueing the ribbon handle and adding adhesive magnets for a closure. The tiny little tag is an older set that was designed by Mama Elephant for Simon Says Stamp called Filled with Love. (I’m so sorry. I didn’t realized it was discontinued until after I made it…whoops!)
SSS-Plush Ice Cream ConeWouldn’t these make cute little favors for a summer party? It would be fun to make the ice cream scoops in several different colors. Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!
