Hello there! Today I have the honor of joining the Simon Says Stamp August 2013 Card Kit Blog Hop!Summer is in full swing and we’re celebrating with a card kit blog hop featuring the August 2013 card kit! With it’s bright colors and new exclusive Simon Says Stamp products, it’s sure to get you in the creative mood! And the stamp set is perfect for card makers of all styles!
Did you know that you can subscribe to Simon Says Stamp’s monthly card kits for just $19.95 plus S&H every month!? The kits are an incredible value, and they do sell out fast. If you are interested, better get one while you can!So here’s the fun part where I get to show you what I made with the kit. The first thing I saw when I opened my box was this AWESOME Moraccan stencil. I could not wait to try it out.
I was inspired by this masterpiece by Lisa Spangler. I absolutely adore how Lisa sponged her bright triangles, and I wanted to try this idea with the Moroccan tile design.
I used several neon inks by Hero Arts and the sentiment is from the card kit stamp set designed by the one and only Kristina Werner.
Next, I wanted to dive into some of the gorgeous pattern papers in the card kit.
I used the Small Envelope Craft die to create this little envelope. I love that it allows for showing both sides of the pattern paper. Check out that flair included in the kit. Ummm…hello, gorgeous:)
And of course a little card to tuck inside the envelope. I used more sentiments from the stamp set included in the card kit. Can I just take a moment to tell you about this sheet of Bazzill Candy Necklace cardstock included in the kit? Well, I was shocked at it’s thickness. It’s incredibly sturdy and divine. Listen, I know a good cardstock when I see one. This is a good one. Just needed to get that off my chest:)
Here’s the inside of the card. Isn’t that sentiment cute? I adore my card-exchanging friends♥
And just in case you were wondering who those dirty finger nails belonged to…my little helper Charlie. He’s always there when I need him…snaggle teeth n’ all:)
