STAMPtember® October Card Kit blog hop

Final Oct 2014 CK Blog HopI’m super excited to be joining Simon Says Stamp for their STAMPtember® October Card Kit blog hop! If you are following the hop, then you should have arrived from the very lovely Nichol Magouirk. This month’s kit is definitely one for the coffee lover with the adorable stamp set and fun pattern papers & embellishments.
SSS~October Card KitI used the larger mug image and paper pieced it, cut the edge off and layered it on a strip of pattern paper. Before I pieced the mugs together, I blended in some ink with my ink blender. The two colors on the top are two of the new colors: Maliblue & Goldenlocks. I stamped one of the mugs with the “hello” sentiment included in the kit.
SSS~October Card KitI couldn’t resist making another card with this hilarious sentiment and cute smiley face on the mug.
SSS~October Card KitI stamped the speech bubble in black and then white embossed my sentiment over top. I blended in my favorite Maliblue ink on this mug as well and paper pieced it onto the card along with the tongue.
SSS~October Card KitSimon Says Stamp is giving away a prize pack of a selection of items from our STAMPtember® giveaway stash at each stop on the hop! Leave me a comment for your chance to win!Stamptember-Giveaway-600x450Your next stop on the hop is the amazing Stephanie Klauck. Thanks so much for hopping by!

  25. Your cards are awesome. You do such great shading, too! I think this might be favorite kit yet (and I think this is at least the 3rd month in the past 4 or 5 months that I’ve thought that!). I can tell I’m going to get a lot of mileage out of this one, though!

  54. These are both awesome but I really love the first one. Love the patterned paper and those gorgeous mugs. And I’m impressed that you inked them after you cut them out. If I tried that I’m pretty sure I’d rip the handles off by mistake. Perhaps I need to be a bit less aggressive with my ink blending!
