  1. You say ‘simple’, I say ‘stunningly simple. Wow! that’s one beautiful card. From now on you know when asked what color yellow is that? It’s google yellow.

  2. I love the colors, yellow makes me happy especially now, reminds me of soon to be Spring. This card is the reason I smile today:)

  3. This card reminds me of my father’s garden. Daffodils are in full bloom now although it is winter.
This card perfectly reflects the spring time..:Love it!

  4. Like the pretty Daffodil coloring, the way they pop off the card & so much more about this Spring card. Neighbors Daffodils are blooming here. Have a BEE-utiful day!

  5. i feel i keep repeating myself, but I love your card! lol I grow daffodils on my allotment garden, not garden at home, and I went there this week to see a few in flower and the rest in bud. it made me so happy and this card has the same effect..big smile on my face

  6. I love all your cards, Laura, and this one is no exception. Thanks for the spring-feel, I needed that so much on this rainy and chilly day. Hugs from Budapest, zsofi

  7. I do love yellow, green and yellow are the essence of spring to me! I love all your zingy rainbow colours too though 😉

    Cheers,
    AJ

  8. Laura,

LOVE your card. Normally this daffodil stamp set is one I would not normally buy, but after seeing your card, I have to have it. The flowers look so dimensional and the card is just perfect!!!

Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it!!

  9. Is it Spring yet?? Your card gives me hope that it will arrive someday. I love the way you left the flowers hanging off the edge a bit and your coloring is perfect.

  10. I always appreciate when someone takes the time to make a “how to” video, as it makes the process much more doable for those of us who are a bit challenged when it comes to techniques, etc. And what a lovely card creation this is … great work on the shading, etc. Thanks for sharing with us!

  11. Thank you Laura. Lovely card–you make the arrangement of the daffodils look like such a simple process, but it’s something I have great difficulty with. You’ve inspired me to try again. 🙂

  12. Such a pretty card! What a nice reminder that Spring is just around the corner, still buried under snow, but just around the corner 🙂

  13. Laura, your Google search paid off and I think you may have channeled Debby successfully! LOL You have done an amazing job as always!

  14. Hi Laura – I love that friendship bloom stamp and your card creation – it just pops and looks so clean and neat – Thanks for the hop and for sharing your work – have a blessed day!

  15. it’s gorgeous and totally not too busy! there is still lots of white space there and it’s lovely Laura! TFS

  16. Love the new release, especially the sentiment fonts. The inspiration card is so beautiful, especially the cute berries.

  17. Beautiful card, Laura!! It is not busy at all, at I am with you on loving that sentiment! Have a smiley Spring!

  18. I love your inner Debby Hughes…. awesome job.. I was holding off the daffodill police while I watched your video. Thanks for sharing

  19. I think you colored your daffodils just right. I agree the sentiment s in the set are worth the price of the set. Thanks, Laura.

  20. The daffodil police would love your card too. Totally enjoyed the video. Love the gorgeous card. Again, just perfect. Thanks for the project ideas.

  21. Love the card…so beautiful and reminds me of spring!!! and I agree with you about the sentiments, there are some good ones included with this set for sure! as always, thanks for doing a video…always love to see your process and hear your happy voice 🙂

  22. Beautiful card! Love the spring feel to the card. (By the way there are daffodils that are yellow with bright orange centers and white ones with bright orange centers)

  23. Pingback: Spotlight and Full Width Scenes + Hop – Nina-Marie Design

  24. Fantastic! Definitely not too busy, just perfect.
Oh, and I am with you on the sentiments! I am a HUGE lover of words and typography so it kinda needs to “click” for me. LOL! These do, however, you are so right about that! They click-clickety-click, actually! 😉

  25. While I was walking yesterday, I found daffodilles poking out of the ground. I got so excited, I Instagramed them! This card is beautiful and I am so happy for spring!

  26. I bought this stamp and wasn’t sure how I was going to color it. Thanks so much for sharing your talent and giving me inspiration.

  27. Just love your sunny daffodils, Laura! Your card is a breath of springtime for all of us in the Midwest. It’s always a treat to find a video from you, Laura! ♡

  28. Your daffodils are beautiful and truly highlight the duplicity and beauty of SSS’s matching Friendship Blooms stamp set and accompanying punches.

  29. What a wonderful fresh breath of Spring! Colors are perfect and what is not to love about the new font! You brought sunshine to my cloudy day. Thanks Laura!

  30. Hey! I needed a little sunshine today and this is bright, cheerful, beautiful and perfect! Can you tell I really like this? Lovely stamp set…you’re right!

  31. Laura i love your bold in your face color choices but your subtle is just as beautiful! Thanks for sharing and showcasing this beautiful new stamp set!

  32. Laura Bassen, I have decided I hate you! You’re talent is awe-inspiring but it makes me incredibly jealous that I can’t do the same. Your daffodils are gorgeous and look so real….

  33. Your videos bring a smile to my face, no matter what you are creating. This being a beautiful card only adds to the enjoyment. Love the framing of the sentiment.

  34. Laura, that is a beautiful card. Those daffodils just jump off the card at you.
I agree with you, that is a great sentiment. Thanks for doing the video too. I love it.
    Janie

  35. I love your card. Not too busy! Daffodils always remind me of Doris Day in “Calamity Jane.” One of my all time faves. Great card!

  36. Laura, so pretty, and it’s kinda muted for you, lol. I look forward to your videos, you always make me laugh and smile, it’s contagious. Thanks for sharing the video and always inspiring.

  37. I love Daffs. They came up in my yard a week ago and I can’t stop taking their photos. This would make a lovely Easter card (instead of ho-hum lilies).

  38. I went outside yesterday and my crocus’ were peaking their little heads up. Can’t wait for the daffodils; one of my favorite flowers. Your card just makes me long for spring. Beautiful.

  39. All three blooms have to be there cuz they’re framing the sentiment. Two wouldn’t do it. And with all that open white sky at the top it is still totally fresh. I love that you added the berries, whatever they might be.

  40. Your blog is my favorite. I love your clean and classy style – – along with your unbelievable coloring. Your cards always make me smile.

  41. These daffodils are stunning, Laura – beautifully coloured. Love how you nestled the sentiment inside the flower images too.

  42. Beautiful card which is simply stunning! You always have such pretty and amazing. Love your take on the creative process. Thank you for sharing!

  43. Your card is a preview of what is to come…SPRING!
And, I agree with you. Color those blooms any color you wish and call them daffy-dils!

  44. Laura your card is so pretty, anyone would love to get this in the mail. I also think the design is great the way the flowers look 3D and pop off the page. Great set!

  45. Love this card and no, it’s not too busy! I think it’s lovely with your Google daffodils. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!!

  46. Love this card! Reminds me of this one daffodil that just showed up out of the blue in my yard a few years ago, and makes me so happy when I see it. Thanks for sharing!

  47. I absolutely LOVE this card. Daffodils are my favorite flower and this card is so cheerful. I can’t wait for Spring!

  48. Such beautiful coloring on the daffodils! Makes me want to reach through the computer and smell them! Awesome job

    Xoxo

  49. What a great card as always. I love your videos. They are always so bright and cheery and you always make me smile. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.

  50. LOL. It’s not too busy, but I did think, wow this is a bit full for Laura B. I love it! I love the daffodils. Ooh, you could always do those that are creamy-peachy-orangish. They are all beautiful. Great Card-Great Release, thanks Laura B. And SSS!

  51. I didn’t even know that I like daffodils until I saw your card. Now, I want daffodil stamps. You make everything look good.

  52. Take it from a Botanically challenged cardmaker, you did a great job colouring those Daffodils. Oh to be able to colour as well as you or just plain old colour, for that matter. My friends laugh at the colours of my flowers … in my world we don’t really worry what the actual colours should be, if the finished product looks nice well then that’s the colour they’re supposed to be, lol.

  53. Hi, loving the way that you have left the background white and just let your wonderful daffodils and sentiment pop right off your very bright and pretty card. x

  54. beautiful card! Had to laugh about trying to use paler colors….I am the opposite….but like you…I’m tryin! Took your class on Craftsy….loved all the ideas and techniques, have used them often.
    Thank you.

  55. Laura, I enjoy your video presentations as much as I enjoy the cards you make. Always brings a smile to my face. Loved this springy card.

  56. Thank you for another wonderful video featuring another beautiful card. It was perfectly balanced with lovely springy daffodils. Yay for you on soft colors!

  57. Wow, Laura! That card is so beautiful, it made me put those daffodil stamps on the top of my shopping list! Fabulous coloring!

  58. I love this card Lauren it’s so pretty. You never fail to impress me and I love your narration to your videos, they always make me laugh.

  59. It snowed last night and just looking at your card makes me smile. So bright and cheerful – what a wonderful way to greet someone special.

  60. Straight up simple and perfect! Not too busy at all. But–I hate to break it to you–still a bit brighter than the subtle Debby Hughes. ;-D

  61. EEEEKKKK!! WOWZA! I love BOTH cards! They both make me smile….the huge balloons and the spot-on sentiment and the beautiful daffodils and the spot-on sentiment for that card, too! I love to watch you color….anything….and everything! Thanks for sharing!…and I LOVE your videos!

  62. Love daffodils and these are beautiful. Great blending job, something I really struggle with. Your videos are always fun.

  63. I love your rainbows, AND I love your daffodils, too. I don’t know if you realize how helpful it is for some of us to see and hear your process. Just the little phrase about framing the sentiment made me see so much more than I would have otherwise. Thanks! I might even go make something now and see if I can add a sentiment without sticking it in a corner!!!!

  64. What a fresh breath of Spring with the first stop on the Blog Hop! Beautiful card that is not too busy! I get the bright color thing, no matter how much I try I always end up with bright colors. But I love color!

  65. Seriously! This card is PERFECT!! I am also fussy about my sentiments and now I want this stamp set and matching dies (all because of you)…you rock big time.

  66. What a beautiful spring card, I love the way you “googled daffodils” in the hopes of finding a bright one. Your videos always make me smile/laugh. I really like the way you talk as if we’re all sitting there watching you and you’re explaining what you are doing.

  67. Laura,

I love listening to you as you create. Your work work is beautiful and your personality is so entertaining.

  68. too kool! you have sold me! I’m ready to plae my first Simon say Stamp order. you card is great and your presentation is both educational and fun

  69. What a beautiful stamp set….perfect for spring! I love the way the daffodils cradle your sentiment. It’s in my “wish list” for my next order.

  70. Love your designs — they’re always on my “go to” list — and this card is no exception. Absolutely beautiful!

  71. Hi Laura!! I saw your video earlier today and commented on it but I have more to say! Lol! You really made this card to look soft and friendly. It’s lovely!! 🙂

  77. Hi Laura! WOW, so many people commenting! I was COMPLETELY entertained by your video! Thanks for letting us know that there aren’t any daffodil “police” out there! LOL! But, too bad you couldn’t find any that were NOT yellow! However, yellow is still gorgeous and you did a fantastic job at coloring them and designing your card! Simplicity is wonderful!

  78. I love your bright yellow fun card. I enjoy blog hops, and it looks like there’s LOTS of great inspiration to be found from this new Reason To Smile collection. I saw some of it over on the Word Art Wednesday blog where their designers share some projects. What a fabulous collection. I’d love to win some of it. Thanks for the great hop, and for sharing your art along the way. It’s SO inspirational.
