STAMPtember® Collaboration with Hero Arts

exclusiveheros_heroartsHello there! Today I’m featuring another fantastic STAMPtember® set designed by Hero Arts called Prayers. This is a beautiful little sentiment set with such a gorgeous handwritten greeting as well as a coordinating die.SSS-Jumbo Stripes & Hero Arts-PrayersI created my background using the new Jumbo Stripes stamp set. I created the plaid pattern using some of my favorite Simon Says Stamp inks.SSS-Jumbo Stripes & Hero Arts-PrayersI did a little partial die cutting for the sentiment and popped up the little panel foam tape.
SSS-Jumbo Stripes & Hero Arts-PrayersHere’s a little video to show you how I created my card.

Check out the Simon Says Stamp blog for more information on this new Prayers stamp set. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Thanks Laura for such a wonderful sympathy card. I seem to be in need of those right now and the fact that it is not too feminine and not to flowery is great. The colors are fabulous without being to soft and not too bright. I lean towards the brighter cards so this is a huge help. Happy Friday!

  2. Lovely card. I really appreciate the Prayers sentiment set–really useful. Sympathy cards are not presented very often on card makers’ blogs, but I truly think the sympathy card is the most important card you can send. It’s so important to sum up your feelings about someone at the end of their life. You have one last chance to do it, and it should not be a quick and cheap card. But it’s so hard to find the balance between over the top flashiness and boring understatement. I can see these sentiments being useful for all sorts of other sensitive situations that life throws at us. Love the fat stripes, too. They make a grand plaid.

  3. Your card is Beautiful! Love those colors together! My mom does the same thing to me, and unfortunately she needs more sympathy cards also.

  4. I thought of you the minute I saw those stripe stamps. You are kinda famous for your plaids and you do them so perfectly. Loving that sentiment set, too. I have long needed some sentiments for more serious cards. And that partial die cutting of the sentiment… Wow! Took it over the top!

  5. I love the color combination you chose and the cross-over diagonal stripes. The sentiment and simplicity of the card is great. I’m going to make this card! Thanks!

  6. Pure, plaid perfection, Laura! Your videos inspire me in so many ways! I loved hearing about your mom today! I’m going to make a new supply of cards for my mom, and I will remember to include a few extra sympathy cards. This sentiment stamp is just perfect for so many cards! Enjoy this last weekend of summer with your family, Laura! Hugs! ♡

  7. Fabulous card and stamp set! Thanks so much for showing how you made it, especially how you partial-cut the word “prayers”–that’s a great technique.
